Default International space station

Not for everyone but at 16524mph 5.49mps it will pass over Cardiff to london and out of the Uk at Southend on Sea about 11.10pm.
Use the hybrid map when it gets overland and zoom in to see just how fast that is as it swallows up the land below.

Same here and phoned my lad in Cardiff he says same there too. It circles the earth every 1.5 hours so may catch it another time. Bloody clouds ruined the lunar eclipse too.
Its going to pass the width of the uk in just 66 seconds.

Nice link bodgit, when the skys are clear and the light is right the ISS can be easily seen crossing the sky, always astounding to think someones up there.

http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap110608.html last week, last trip for Endeavour.

It happens quite often, looks like a bright spot moving accross the sky from west to east at a steady speed.

http://www.heavens-above.com/ will tell you what other satalites are passing by as well. Iridium flares are quite easy to spot and I have seen ones going north to south following each other at a set distance, which was different.

I often listen to that on my scanner by using a beam antenna, but it's very rare that I can pick it up.

Finally got to see it tonight around 10.30 Just one hell of a bright light at 16500mph swallowed up the sky and made the jets onroute to manchester seem like they were crawling. The sky,s clear tonight and it will pass over again around midnight.

Looks good doesn't it. Get the bins out next time, you can see the solar arrays on it. Looks like a space invader
