I'm looking to return to racing but I don't want/can't end up spending a small fortune like I used to.
I've spent hours and hours reading posts and reviews on the net and got some offers of buggies. One thing hasn't changed over the years is all the different opinions on what's best ! I've more or less narrowed it down to Cat SX, B44 and Bmax4. I've read all the good stuff about the above from many peoples opinions. Now all I need to know is the bad and ugly stuff about them. I'm interested in what goes wrong, their weaknesses and how durable they are. |

Can't go into too much details at the min but I would go for a second hand good condition B44. £120-150 should get you a good car with the required hopups.

I would agree with Matt, I recently purchased a new B44.1 as my first 4wd and it is everything it needs to be for me to be a winner.
What the car is lacking is a driver who has the skill required to pilot it to victory, but Im working on that! I have had more than a few big spills with it whilst getting the hang of things and the car just keeps coming back for more so I can vouch that it scores highly on the durability front! Also, the spares are readily available from most online RC stockists so if you do break anything then between the likes of DMS, MK Racing, JE Spares and Modelsport you are pretty much guaranteed to be able to get what you need on a next day delivery to get you back on track.

Looks in good condition, should be able to ease yourself in nicely with that!
Also, that snow plow should be handy for the winter months! ![]() |

Thanks for the comments.
I'm stocking up on spares at the moment, got a spare shell n wing as well as a new shell, wing and undertray that came with the deal. Loads of wheels n tyres n my tyre stock from my old predator as well as lots of bits n pieces winging their way to me from various suppliers. Hopefully the snowplough will help keep the front together during the inevitable crashes. |

Had a Fusion exceed 6.5t sensored brushless combo in my pred for a couple of weeks. That's going in with 19 tooth pinion on the 84t spur.
Got some nimhs to practice with and a set of Lipos for when I get going. Sound reasonable ??? I'm still new to brushless and lipos. |

Did you change the spur Rich? b44.1 comes with a 81t, 84t standard on the b44
