which one would u say is the best and why

also what upgrades are needed for both

Blast just have I have had the SK10 and hated it

Have both. Blast is simple and good for anything. Caster is better in racing (saddle pack layout helps a lot). And after some new updates Caster will be simple as a Blast. Caster will have stronger Gear Boxes and in there you can fit new Gear Diffs (should be in sales after few weeks). Also, Caster has more aftermarket support than Blast. And it seems that manufacturer is ready to deal with every problem user encounters or are not happy with...

Yep. We have Begginer class in our races. It restricted to standard closed can motor and 6 NiMH battery and chassis without any CF. Caster buggy is clear leader in this class. Despite that there is ~ 6 or 7 Blasts... For racing Caster is better choice. For bash I would wait for Caster truggy...
