Just tried to undo one of the screws on the underside of the chassis on my Losi 22 and I've managed to round off the screw head (2mm hex type).
Any top tips out there on how to remove it? My last resort would be to dremel a slot in the head and then use a flat headed screwdriver to remove it but given I've already proven myself to be a bit hamfisted today I am concerned I'll end up cutting a groove in the chassis as well ![]() Anyone else have their own favourite method? Thanks in advance Rob

I had the same problem so i went to my local Modelshop and he tried with this screw drivers and they came out no problems. So i bought some EDS tools and ive never have a problem since.
Try some different screw drivers first. Thanks

is it a cap head, button head or countersunk?
I've had some success with needle nose pliers when struggling to undo cap heads, but this is no use with the other sort. |

Unfortunately its countersunk which is why I can only imagine the mess I'll make with a dremel ![]() Rob

Yup dremel is the solution, but dont overdo it. Just a small slot should be sufficient to use a screw driver

try drilling a hole smaller than the screw into the head then hammering a hex driver into the hole then try unscrewing....may or may not work

Used a dremel before, just keep it steady and you will be fine. Dremel a little at a time, and keep testing you screwdriver fits

Thanks, all - finally man-ed up and got the dremel out. Screw is now out with very minor cosmetic damage to chassis.

Ive rounded off 1.5mm grubs, so stuck an imperial driver in there and its done the job before

as its metric i use an imperial(if that how you spell it)that is slightly bigger, tap it in with a hammer and carfully undo it,works every time
