The power cap is just there to stop the voltage dropping too low in the receiver when the servo is used. The power for this comes from your ESC.

The bec is supplied by the esc so you don't need a external one.

Right but I've read that almost everyone that runs a MMP with Spektrum and a high voltage servo have glitch problems and that the BEC is the solution and I have both so I was wondering if I can use the volt protector instead of the BEC or even if they're both used for the same purpose?

You will need the voltage protection capacitor to solve that problem

Thank you whiskers for your help. Correct me if im wrong but does the bec serve the same purpose as the volt protector? And I have one last question for you I just received my tekin rs pro will I still need the BEC or volt protector? I'd like to also apologize for being a noob. I just wanna make sure I'm doing everything right the first time around, plus the dex410 isn't cheap so I don't wanna mess it up.

The BEC is the 6volts that the speed control (tekin rs pro in your case) supplies to the receiver down the 3 wire cable that you plug into your receiver. This power is used to power the receiver and the servo. Sometimes the servo can draw to much power under use which makes the voltage drop and the receiver turns its self off which causes the car to stop until the power recovers and then it it starts up again. The capacitor (voltage protector) that you can plug into the receiver stores a small amount of power so when the voltage drops the capacitor unloads its power into the receiver and stops it from turning its self off. The receiver capacitor is only needed if the car is stuttering or briefly losing connection with the transmitter.

Hope this helps

Do you think I should put the Spektrum power cap or is the rs pros power cap good enough? I'm hooking it all up as we speak.

The cap on the RS PRO is need as that is part of the speedo. The spectrum cam is a different thing and it plugs into the receiver separate to everything else.
