Default

to be honest i wouldn;t touch any of those

the XX4 is a great car, but very old now and spares are hard to find.
the xxx4 is ok indoors, but struggles outdoors on bumpy tracks.
the x5 is just pants, and suffers the same problems as the xx4 in that parts are very hard to find.

popular cars are the cat SX, associated B44, kyosho ZX5
all can be had for little money second hand and spares are easily available. They will also be popular at most clubs so set up information will be easy to come by.

2wd will be a cheaper option. the B4 is still a very popular car and can be found for peanuts. other choices move towards the mid motor cars like the cougar, or the more expensive conversion models like a vega.
cheap beginner options would be the ansmann cars, very cheap, good spares and the cars can be very competitive with a couple of choice upgrades.
