Wiring in series increases voltage and parallel increases the capacity.

So, if your esc is currently wired in series, am I right in thinking that you can simply resolder/rewire them to series?

Just got my e revo y'day and the guy told us that they were wired in parallel, so consequently runtime wasn't as high as you would have expected (20mins on two 5000mah 30c's), if I can reconfigure the wiring to in series, then runtime should be alot better?

Cheers
matt

The C rate does not increase when wired in parallel or series. If they are 20C or whatever they will still be 20C. If you wire the packs you have it will just mean that instead of having 4000mah 20C it will be a 8000mah 20C. The pack will be able to output twice the amps because the capacity has doubled but the C rate is always the same.

What you want to do is absolutely fine just make sure the packs voltage is pretty close when you do this. If i ever parrallel any cells or batteries I always like to make sure they are within 0.1V of each other although depending on The Ri of the cells it is suprising how much of a difference you can get away with.
