Default WTD: 511 Fitment pinions pls

Has anybody got some medium/long boss pinions to fit my 511? Im running a 5.5T motor with 91T spur so im assuming a 19,20 and 21 tooth should do the job.

Can collect at Taly this weekend if possible and pay cash. P.m me with anything you may have, or alternatively what pinions are other 511 owners using?

My 502 isn't going anywhere, it's just to compare both cars really. Personally I think the 502 is better, but others disagree. So, one way to find out. Lol

Just normal pinions, although I know some people run long boss pinions.

You say that about the 511 now, however once you've given it a good run you'll stick with the 511.

Mmmm don't know about that. I'm beating the 511's i race against with my 502x. It just seems quicker over a lap. The guys who've got a 511 and ran my 502x have been very impressed but let's not start this again lol, each to their own. I went shaft drive for ease of maintenance and Scotlands weather can be treachorous at the best of times so the drivetrains a little more protected.

Ive got a set of long boss pinions for the 511. Only one pinion has been used since I bought them. I think I have 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 but cant confirm until later on. Id be up for selling the lot if interested.

Is the only one that been used a 20? I didn't think you could still get a 16 pinion!

I bottled it and ran the 502 instead. Will hopefully be running the 511 next weekend now.

Thoroughly enjoyed the 502, just wish I had wet weather tyres with me at the national. Lol. The 502 is still a car to be reckoned with in my opinion.

Hmm... SORC results would show we're 1-all in beating each other.

Laptimes:
Rd1 - your fastest lap is 0.09 secs better than mine.
Rd2 - my fastest lap is 0.18 secs better than yours.

So to be more accurate, and a tad more technical, there's hardly a bawhair between us laddy!!!

See you at NORA - bring yer hankies!!! You'll be needing them...

(PS. I'm happy to help with any setup advice/spare parts, etc if you feel the need to go a bit faster...)

Sorry Thomj316 - bit off topic - that range of LB pinions should do fine with the 5.5.
Changed over to these this year and made a big difference with the mesh - much more consistent to get the right mesh.

AAH Dom i was waiting for this. First round of SORC was the first time i ran my Trf502x outdoor. 2nd round beat your Trf511 by a full lap in Qualy. You say you're lap time was 0.18 quicker than mine but i beat you by a full lap in qualifying mmmm. I made the A in Rd2 and as far as i can remember only the B in Rd1 (as stated first time running car outdoors) As for NORA, bring it on and it'll be you that's needing hankies. You older guys reactions are starting to go lol, see you at NORA m8. You just concentrate on the veterans cup lol.
Did you enjoy your hols by the way..
Scotty

You do realise the above post is purely a wind up. Nora will be good especially now there's gonna be another TRF 2wd and 4wd runner. I want your Nora set up m8. Got an idea of set up I'll run and just want to see if it's ok or not.
Cheers buddy

Oh, I know - they are both wind-ups!!!

If you're coming along this Sunday to NORA, we'll put heads together and come up with a setup that covers both machines. My 201 is going quite nicely there too, so worth coming up the week before the Regional to test out the surface.

Plus it's going to be a nice weekend (can't promise the same for the 12th!).
