Speed + Motor again!!

I am looking into getting a SC10 and was looking at a GTB2 with 10.5T but have been told to look at HPI Flux Q Base and hpi 10.5T motor.

what are peoples thoughts and ideas also do i need 1 of the upto date lipo's or will last years models do?
