Which one?
Thinking of getting a short course for bashing and maybe a bit of racing. Both are supported at my local model shop so the dilema is which one? Also, which clubs in the midlands race short course? |

The Slash is made using very bendy plastics so it`s a very very strong basher,it will race OK.
The Blitz is so much more a real racer, there are loads more adjustments available on the Blitz,it`s more tuneable from track to track, different conditions etc and it`s still very tough for occasional bashing. |

Losi XXX SCT or Blitz
we race SCT's on tuesday evenings at A1 Racing Club near Grantham, always plenty of 2WD's and a full heat of 4wd's if everyone turns up. Blitz is popular with our racers, Broxtowe club has plenty of them on a friday night and the SCT Nationals were well populated with them. I had a Slash last year for a bit, good strong car, but not competitive with the others when it comes to racing, not many setting options and a high centre of gravity, didn't like faster motors and became useless against the Blitz's our chaps all got... other cars bounce equally as well as the Traxxas. A XXX SCT or Blitz will be strong enough to make a good basher and an excellent racer ![]() SC10 is equally as good but i just don't like Associated products ![]() |

Can't wait to see how the 4x4 drive belts cope with 550 torque, not convinced!

I've run an Associated SC10 and most thought it was brushless and tweaked - not so, it was the bog standard RTR with the brushed motor and it went exceedingly well - strong too, only one broken front arm because I slammed it into a metal stanchion - flat out. Highly recommended.
Seriously contemplating the new AE 4x4 SCT to replace my Hong Nor SCRT, but I'll wait a month or two to see how others get on and see what the intial feedback's like - ithe Hong Nor's good but I think over-engineered and quite heavy - if it had a better driver it could give a 'chimp' a good slapping with his Lousi whatever... |
