Default Kyosho Vega set-up

For anyone interested here is my starting setup for the Stotfold national assuming its going to be dry (stotfold is a high grip bumpy astro track with various jumps). If it rains i'll be removing the weight from under the speedo, going short wheelbase and changing to Schumacher green mini spikes as a starting point.

Outer link - long
Pivot block spacers - None
Kick up - 25 degree

Rear
25wt oil (Losi)
Piston 3a
Cobalt Spring
New Inside hole on wishbone (drilled one hole in from original postion)
3rd hole out on tower
Wheelbase - long on hub, short inner
Camber link inner - upper, outer hole
Camber link hub - (1 deg alloy hub) forward holes long
Roll bar - 0.9mm

Tyres - Yellow Mini Spikes all round - outer row cut off fronts
Inserts - Answer RC medium rears and firm fronts

Rudebits under speedo weight - 2 x 45g
Wing - VEGA High downforce
Vega steering link - to decrease ackerman and increase overall lock (available soon).

Motor - Tekin Redline 6.5 geared 24/kit spur
Speedo - Tekin RS Pro

I am not as quick as Kev (LOL, who is!) but I love my Kyosho Vega and here is my set up I have settled with.

Front
35wt Oil (Losi)
Piston 3b
Silver spring
Outside hole on wishbone
Middle on Tower
Washer inside hub/driveshaft
Inner link position - middle with 2.5mm washers
Outer link - long
Kick up of 30 deg

Rear
22.5wt oil (Losi)
Piston 3b
Yellow Spring
New Inside hole on wishbone (drilled one hole in from original postion)
3nd hole out on tower
Wheelbase - long on hub, short inner
Camber link inner - upper, outer hole
Camber link hub - (0 deg alloy hub - I am sure Kev means 1 deg giving 4 overall) rear short hole
Roll bar - none

Tyres - Yellow Mini Spikes all round - full rows on front and rear (man style! - LOL)
Inserts - Answer RC medium rears and firm fronts

Rudebits under speedo weight - 1 x 92g plus 28g under the servo and 62g under Lipo if bumpy
Wing - VEGA High downforce I think it's that anyways!!
Vega steering link - to decrease ackerman and increase overall lock (available soon and is the nuts!).

Motor - Orion Vortec 7.5 geared 24/kit spur
Speedo - LRP V2
Lipo - Orion 5500 90C saddle - Yeah baby!!
Servo - Orion VDS1007
Transmitter/Receiver - Sanwa 2.4ghz - way to go!

I also think you will see different set ups for the Vega Elite and that is the nice thing of this car.
I am sure John Spencer is running something slightly different as well.
Such an easy car to drive and it's as if the set up doesn't matter - LOL

Default Do you still have doubts?

And for anyone that has any doubts how good this chassis is??!!.....
Saturday I had my best result in Nationals since my return to racing 2 years ago.
Finishing 23rd and actually feeling I could of done better in one of the closest Nationals I have seen in years and years.
Those single errors do hurt so much - LOL

Hi
It is the universal one you need. We have now made them stronger too! These tower's will fit the RB5, 201, B4.1 and the B4. Hope that helps.

Warm! Mid 70's I'd say at least. The grip came up the hotter it got.
