Default Primrose Valley Model Week 2011

Just a reminder that the annual Primrose Valley Model Week is only 2 months away. Taking place at Havens Primrose Valley site in Filey near Scarborough between 7th - 14th May, our back to back cliff top on and off road circuits over look Filey bay.
This year we will be running our usual format with qaulifying rounds held daily with grand finals at the end of the week. We will also be introducing the "Tamiya Mini Cup" this year, taking place on our purpose built on road circuit. Rules for the Mini Cup will consist of; any "M" chassis being eligible using standard 540 silver can motors (no brushless), tyres must be of mini size, ie no touring car, and electrics being free choice.
Once again we will be catering for all classes 1/18th-1/8th off road and 1/18th to 1/10th on road, with plenty of racing and socialising (in one of the several on site bars!!), and with the well equipt Haven site catering for the everyone why not bring the whole family! Our objective is to provide a fun week in which you can race as much or little as you like.
You can find more information on the week at www.primrosevalleyrcmodelweek.co.uk or by calling Barry on 07786400841

As usual you will have the pleasure of the Motley Crew from Podium RC our caravan was booked as we left last year;

This is the best part of the year for me as gives me a mini break away from all the stress hassle of the work i do within the Rc Scene and with racing everyday and you can please yourself when you race and what you race,great company ,everyone is welcomed with open arms ,social side is fantastic even if you take the family,

What more could we ask for

Default Primrose

Looking forward to it once again, this will be my 11th year I think, and 5th or 6th organising, man how time flys when your having fun. Dave G, I know I said I would have the Mugen running this year. Well I fitted a bodyshell within 2 days of getting home last year, and er well that's kinda how far it's got, house and baby have put a massive dent in that, next year I'll have it running though, (John Abbott knows all about getting things ready for next year, I still believe there is a Hyper 10gtx still waiting to be properly set up from what 4years ago??), So Dave if you could bring the spares you found that would be great.
I am working on designing a new track this year, trying to incorporate an oval which will have straights around 2m wide and around 8m long. For the main track I am hoping to get a nice long sweeping straight and few twisty bits to sort the men from the boys.
Now where did I put my MO3 Mini and dusting brush??

See you all soon

A very big thanks to John,Barry,Colin for giving there time to provide us this model week year after year as i know myself it is very hard work organizing and getting all the equipement there and errecting it all and taking it all down;

Myself for the first year had some time out from the racing as needed a mini break and i did this within the company of all from the model week so thanks to you all

A big thanks for my friends that help me get myself sorted out whilst i was there and up on arrival back i have a complete new thing about myself and which direction i am going in;

Once again a big thanks from THE MOTLEY CREW AT PODIUM RC
