Default yokomo product support and supply

is it just me who feels let down by the poor product support and spares supply
both my local shops are out of stock and have been for months and have no idea when
i think yokomo is letting its fans down i am seriously thinking of changing cars simply because of the lack of intrest shown by yokomo or cml to keep us racing by supplying updates and spares as needed without having to trawl the internet
it was like this pre earthquake to
cmon yokomo we love our bmaxs how about some support or updates and info
or even a new car ..... anything would be nice instead of silence

Well, where I live there is no Yokomo distributor, so I don't feel let down. But I certainly understand your feeling since there is a Uk distributor.

In all honnesty, my Bmax breaks so seldomly, I don,t really need close access to parts. I just do an internet order every now and then. But still, no local presence certainly isn't helping to promote the brand...

Oh well...

I dont think u can blame Yokomo for ur local store don't have any spares.

Remember Japan just had a big catastrophe, so many parts have been delayed for production. But it should be up and going by now, they just released the new lipo chassi and the new bmax II factory edition.

We never had any serious Yokomo distributor here in my country but i still run they're cars simply because they are great!
It only takes 4-6 days ordering parts from champ or rc-drift in Japan, that's 14 days quicker then ordering from a local store where im from.
So big up Yokomo for me!

They just released the new b-max4 II, so don't understand why they should update any new parts. Even the old bmax is up to date so u wouldn't gain so much for a bmax II.

Yes, but they haven't released it have they? Where are the Bmax II's? When will they get here? They are out in the far east, but even then its kits only, so no chance of upgrading your current FT.

The shops Johnny is referring to are both Yokomo stockists, and 1 of them (JE Spares) is also one of the larger stores, but they can't get certain spares. Spur gears seem to be in short supply - there are a few 81's still around but nobody has 84's or 87's.

However, my concern isn't that. I see it more that the importer (CML) has a bit of a conflict of interest. They are also Associated's importer too. Back in the old days, Craig Drescher and the CML team would run RC10's in 2wd and Dogfighters in 4wd, but these days with the B44.1 CML mostly run Associated for both. Makes sense as its the bigger company etc.
But it also means that very few people race the Bmax at the top level - Tom Yardy is pretty much it. And that lack of presence there has filtered down the line - racers don't ask, shops don't stock etc.

Champ, race-drift and more shops in japan and hong kong have already released the Bmax II. Just got the new lipo chassi myself from race-drift, so upgrading ur regular Bmax should not be any problem.

Yes - But I don't want the lipo chassis, I want the motor mount. Which isn't available from RC-Champ or Race and Drift.

And ordering from Japan doesn't address the issue of when its going to be available over here.
