I remember reading a thread on rctech the other day about this. Some guy wanted to protect his soft lipos. Scroll through a few days worth of post in thr electric section. Someone posted a url for a site selling cases

I not sure what level you race at, so whether this will bother you too much, but I believe the BRCA rules say LiPo must be in their original non-tampered casing. I would probably say this could also effect BRCA insurance at club level too if an accident occurs with a modified LiPo, but double check with your club first or the BRCA tech officer.

It may affect the BRCA cover, as they battery isn't to manufacturers spec.

thanks lads, point taken, i have sent the liopos back as it was there first time out and got a refund, the cells them selves where great but the cases where not so good, shame as the price was RIGHT for a change, feed up with being ripped off for a hobby.

o by the way if any ones intrested it was the Turnigy 5000 40-50c hard case, a real shame as the performance was really god for £28, the supplier said he will be talking to the manufactures to see what they say and wether they will be rectifing this problem.

Personally i think they have a great opportunity to make a big dent in the market, great for club racing.
