Default Cat SX Tekin RS pro set up..??

Hi Guys,

I know this is a question which might be more suited to the "Electrics" section but.... I'm running a Tekin RS pro with a Redline 5.5 motor in my Cat SX. I have never inititiated a set-up within my ESC but want to. I have just ordered a Hotwire thingy so I now have all the gear and no idea
I will be running the car on a grass circuit this weekend.
Batteries = GP5300 28C

Has anyone got any set up sheets etc for running this set up (Cat, LiPo, RS pro, 5.5motor and on grass)??

Many thanks for any thoughts!

Hi Duncs

I run the RS Pro, in my Cat SXII. Personally I think a 5.5 is a bit too much, so I run a 6.5. I run 23/82 Gearing. With internal gears 32/24. The speedo settings I use are;
Stock settings on speedo - DB 10%, BS 100%, TP 4, MT 1, LM 90%, NW 8%, VC 6v, Dual ode, 90% timing

I use the Speedpower 5300/50C Batteries.

I hope this helps. Anything else, please ask.

Paul

Hi Paul,

Thanks for replying to my question. Much appreciated. I notice your batteries have a higher "C" value to mine so I'm hoping that differenece will tame the 5.5motor a little then... I'll try those settings for the 5.5 set up and go from there.
Gearing = 21/82. How does that sound to you?

Thanks

With internal gears 23/33 (I forgot to add that to pinon and spur)

Hi Duncs

Personally I would go up a tooth, say 22/82. I personally like to set the gearing a little lower than others. Give 22/82 a try and see how it feels.
