Default mad monkey motors & gearing

hi i just got a mad monkey anyone got any ideas what turn brushless motor to use and what gearing ? cherrs steve.d

you cant go wrong with a 7.5 with maybe a 25/26 pinion or a 6.5 with a 21/22 pinion

Default mad monkey gearing

A few of us racing monkeys on astro and grass here in the mid west tracks, a good starting point i run a losi 6.5 excelorin with lrp speedo on kit spur 21/22 pinion plenty of speed and good pic-up for jumps,Motor temp after 6 mins 55 degress warm to touch but no burning skin.hope this helps jlk2711
