Default JORCR Charity Night 18th December-Raffle results now included

We'll also be selling raffle tickets which I will have with me at Batley etc. We have prizes donated by Horizon Hobbies (Losi AfterShock RTR) CML (1/18th Monster Truck) and more prizes coming from MuchMoreRacing etc so even if you can't support the event on the night, you can buy some raffle tickets and have the chance of winning the prizes too.

Racing won't be starting until 7pm if getting there for 6pm is a little tight for some. If you are coming and will be arriving a little later, just PM and I will book you in when we get there to make it easier.

Because some prizes are coming in later, plus the great response we have had from supporting companies and we won't know what we will have from them until last minute we've agreed to run an Auction on the night for some of the prizes. So if you don't win something you can bid for prizes aswell They will need to be either paid for on the night to take them then or before the end of January and we'll arrange collection/to send them as soon as we get payment. This way we can raise even more money for the charity.

Be a nice break in the middle of all the Christmas 'C*ap' at this time of year.

Also a big thanks to Chris Clarke (nobby) for helping arrange most of the prizes, you are a star

Jarrow is between Sunderland and Newcastle - right on the A19, just before the Tyne Tunnel. Its pretty easy to find... if anyone from York fancied going I can give directions (if I can drive there, anyone can!!).

To be honest I think it's suprised all of us, we were expecting/hoping to raise 1/4 of that, we told them we'd probably raise a couple of hundred pounds, so it's going to be a nice suprise for them when we hand the cheque over.

We do appreciate everyones support, some members took nights off work, missed staff parties (inc free booze/food etc) etc just to be there, made it all worth it when we added it all up last night

Once again credit to Big Pete and his team of merry men(and women!) for an excellent meeting even if i did forget to put my transponder in on my best run. Would have put me 2nd or 3rd in the A Final. People that havent popped into Jarrow club recently should get thereselves there. Very good standard of drivers and a great off road track every week and a tuck shop.
Well done to everybody for raising as much as we did.

Must just echo the positive statements on here, a great night last night & big congratulations to all involved in raising a fantastic total.
Tuesday nights are now becoming very competitive & are really well run, the only downside is having to pit next to Chris Stewart (only kidding mate)

Well done to all involved.

Barry
