from what I understand the LPF is designed for 2wd and the PRO is more suitable for 4wd.

if you thinking about getting one check out the new sp ex escs here, the heatseat is smaller making it more compact.

The LPF is a 60A controller (really consider 6.5 in a 2wd as the limit for reliability)

Pro is a 120A contorller (so 4.5 in 4wd is possible).

They are both hobbyWing made units so why not get a HobbyWing V2.1 or 1S and save yourself about a 1/3rd of the price for a pro?

I've just put a SP GT Pro in my 2wd after suffering from poor brakes all winter...no problems now! I also think that, for a given gearing, it runs faster (probably due to the extra timing I can set).

Apart from the size, which is a little bigger than the LRP, I think it is a perfect speedo

I have a LPF in my 511 (the blue one of course) with a 5.5 v2 speed passion motor.

Straight from the website:

Featuring the new ‘Green Power’ feature to give you consistent power and longer run time, the speedo’s digital racing response system offers the user 9 selectable digital racing modes.

Other features include the advanced multi timing system which is a special 8 mode BL motor timing adjustment system to help obtain best performance for both ESC and motor.

Suitable for up to a 4.0T motor with 5 cells and 5.5T with 6 cells or 7.4v lipo, the GT2.0 is supplied with programming box, cooling fan, battery & motor wires, switch, small form capacitor and short & long receiver cables.

Hi Mark, I was asking the same question when I got my new esc in september. The Pro model also has the "overboost" function for running stock - not really necessary but it was great fun in my X4, until my Lipo dumped 2 minutes later!

I only bought the pro because nobody outbid me on ebay, would have happily bought the LPF. Excellent speedos - really smooth and reliable.

I've just purchased two SP Gt 2.0 pros. I was looking at the 2.1 EXs but the blurb says its for 12th/WGC and with a small headsink i was a bit concerned it might get a hot, so decided to go with the 2.0

I think all the team drivers still run the 2.0 pro too, maybe one will be kind enough to pop in and confirm
