Default Lipo's for B44

I am looking at ordering some lipo batteries for my B44 (only race at club level so BRCA 'legality' not an issue for me ).

Maxamps do 2 different sets: http://www.maxamps.com/products.php?cat=54

I have 2 questions:
1. I will be running a Novak GTB and 6.5 brushless motor in it so if I order the 4400mah sets will 66amp Maximum Continuous Discharge be good enough?
2. If I go for the bigger 5500mah packs - where do I get the 'longer battery posts required' as specified by them?

If you can wait a bit longer Maxamps are in the process of making some saddle packs specifically for the B44 that won't require any modifications. Jason at Maxamps says that they'll be around 5000 to 5500 mah range.

I just got news from our federation meeting where it is decided that LiPo's are allowed for 2008 if they are encased in a solid casing (like the Orion or Trackpower LiPo's). So if those new saddle pack LiPo's from Maxamps will have a solid casing, I'll be very interested. So my question is : Will they have a solid casing ?

Indeed Mark offered up against an X5 yesterday, it will obviously need mods to work in this car. But they should fit within the non movable parts of the chassis (chassis edges, slipper shaft, back of servo etc) as a saddle pack in the rear and move some radio gear to behind the servo.

Hi Mark, when are they looking at releasing them? I am about to order a load of batteries and it would be great to get some of these instead.
