Anyone remember the original wrexham club?

Does anyone remember the club at wrexham, around 1987/88, before it moved to the bicc?
It was a tarmac track on a sloping site, off road cars, but no jumps! It was really really busy.
I would have been seven or eight years old, with a tamiya falcon, and one battery pack.
I can remember waiting around to watch the a final with the optima mids and schumacher cats glitching like hell on the starting line. I LOVED IT!
I remember the first week the avante was released, all the top drivers had one. Next week, all back to mids and cats!
I only went to about six meetings there, but i can still remember the excitement of it all like it was yesterday.

i remember in the late 70s taking my brother to have a play around on the tarmac trak with his mardave stock car and later with his pb9
