Default Which 1/10 Pan car?

I'm looking at getting myself a 1/10 pan car to race at my local club. As far as i'm aware there will be two classes GT1 for experts and GT2 for novices. I'm looking at the Serpent S100 link, Xray X10 link and CRC Gen-X10 LE. I would like your opinions on which would be best to choose, i.e spares availability, ease of setup etc.

Thanks for any advice in advance

Lee

Thanks for the reply.

I've found the GEN X10 at Amainhobbies for £123. Where can i get spares in the UK for these, and do you tend to get stung by import duties from the US?

not much support track side for the Serpent or Xray

Also consider the RC10R5 although out of production the only items that would be hard to source are the carbon items which Fybre Lyte will have on the pc's by now. All the alloy, plastic parts are from the 12R5

Might still be able to get parts, contact your LHS. Its actually a RC10L3T, T for touring. Not sure on dimensions of this car but its probably 190mm wide. Modern GT cars are 200mm wide.
Check out parts lists and diagrams on RC10.com this links straight to associateds web site.

Classes for the forthcoming BRCA National Series (here) are GT2 (1S/10.5) and GT3 (2S 17.5).

If you prefer to run with a 2S pack you already have, then the CRC car will accommodate either 1S or 2S and is probably your best option. None of the Associated cars will take a 2S pack. CRC cars and spares are readily available from AMC in Torquay. AMC will be attending the F1/GT BRCA National series. HTH

Default 2 cell Associated

There is a conversion kit available for the RC10R5 to take 2 cell lipo along the centre of the chassis. Cant remember who does it but from memory I think it costs around 20 quid. So 10r5 still an option if you want to run 2 cell lipo .

Distributor still has new kits but second hand ones seem to have dried up at the moment .

Sean Cockran from Associated said they were going to produce another batch of 10R5s on RCtech because they got inundated with orders when thay announced they were discontinuing it.
