Hi All,
This is my first post here. I raced along time ago (late 80's, early 90's) but I never got rid of loads of my gear. I have this vintage nosram ESC. Can anyone help: 1/ Identify it? 2/ Does anyone have one? 3/ If you do can I be really cheeky, could someone open one up and let me know the two components i've highlighted in my second picture. Cheers for all yourhelp in advance! Richard |

haven't got one myself, but the small component is probably a resistor, should be coloured stripes on it to identify the resistance. The large black component will be the voltage regulator, the part number printed on it will identify it or checking the tracks on the board you can identify the pins of the regulator to find a suitable replacement.
If you don't feel confident, or can't identify the components, then Derek Bailey will be able to repair it for you.

Cheers Terry,
Yup the pink coloured one is a resistor. I can't make out the coloured bands as it has been fried. The second arrow points to a pair of legs where it looks like a poly cap was. I'd like to know the value of this too. Can the guy you recommend help on that, post will be an issue as I'm living overseas in the philippines for work. Rich |
