Ditto, sent two messages through their website about a complete Mardave set up price and also called and left a VM - this was all weeks ago.

Keith, Mandy and the crew at Kamtec are extremely busy - and being only a relatively small concern sometime (like Xmas for example) they can get swamped with orders. I guess their priority is shipping orders placed already over and above enquiries about making new shells.

Give Keith time and he'll get back to you - they're a great bunch at Kamtec as I've dealt with them for a few years now and very keen to please all their customers.

Keith has to be careful about replica shells though - he started making a Durga shell and got a rather nasty call from Tamiya's lawyers!!

I think you're confusing "copying" with "replica" Mark - Keith always has made subtle adjustments to any "original" shell that he's given to make a mould from. In the case of the Durga I supplied for him, unfortunately the changes were too subtle for the first draft that went into production.

Keiths just moved premises so has abit of a backlog due to this. You may not like the delays but finding a company like his is few and far In europe so bear with him and you wont be disapointed.

How long did he take to do the mould and did you get the original back?

Yes I got the original back after a few weeks. Timescale is obviously dependent on how busy Keith is what with us banger boys pestering him for new shells all the time!

I contacted Keith about this thread, and he asked me to post the following:

I have read the above and am very concerned about the problems that
have arisen. I would personally like to clear any problems up as soon
as possible. Kamtec have had a tough year and have struggled to finish
any new projects that were started. If anyone still has a problem or
query please contact me as soon as possible and I will sort it out.
Thank you,

Keith,
Kamtec

Guys,

Keith has called me and said that when they moved premises they had an issue with the web and have been offline, hence why no replies. He is still there now at 21:30 trying to resolve and that by Friday he will be online and contactable. He apologizes and knows the frustration that this has caused and aims to rectify all issues pretty quickly from now on.

I am always here if you need help so just PM me if thats the case.
