Default Vintage series down 'sarf'

As much as I would like to travel all the way to York to burn my oldies around for a bit of fun the eight hour round trip kinda takes the edge of it. What we need is something on the same lines to service the bottom end of our beloved country.

Couple of questions...

A)Is anyone down interested in running vintage cars down south?

and..

B)Surely there's enough prople in powerful positions on here to get something going? (pats on the back for the York boys by the way)

Personally I think the BRCA should create a format and National series at the next AGM, as there must be tons of people that are keen to remember crawling ove the line as your cells dumped, crazy amounts of understeer on every car and Grashoppers with modified motors in them! ..and not forgetting 8.4v cells!!

Is there anyone out there???

I'd be interested in something nearer home, I'm based in the Midlands.

How many times have we talked about it I wanna see that old one going that i sorted you out - That thing with a Brushless system, 4200's, hi-speed servo and some big proline tyres.

You know it will be awesome

i have an rc10 worlds stealth alloy tub jobby. I'd be up for some, especially at CML (local track!)
i assume we can run modern cells and electrics? i do have some old 1700scr's but they may well go pop when shown a charger!!
we could always run 19t motors to bring the speed down to that of the old mods?!!
but i'd much rather put my 4.5 sintered in it!

I've got a gold tub and my Egress rocked around the CML Raceway when I gave it a run out there. Don't think I went easy on it either.

Elliott.

I realised that theres no group on bebo devoted to vintage RC Cars, so I decided to set one up! If anyones on bebo and loves vintage RC cars then feel free to join this group.
