Starting to design and test custom Shock Mounts
![]() ![]() First batch will be 4mm CGF, a Carbon and Glass Fibre compound. Very tough, weighs a bit more then pure Carbon Fibre but just as strong with a little extra flex. The top two are replacement towers for Ansmann Buggies, the bottom tower is for a club member who snapped his the other week ![]() Also in pic are some of the decals I've done for this coming year. I've re-mastered all the logos as vector artwork for high resolution vinyl printing. Makes them scalable to any size for print and posters etc. Decals are waterproof and fade resistant. I will soon be making these services available to the public so if anyone is interested in cnc parts or custom decals drop me a line ![]() J |

Hi Rednoise.
The current mounts I've done share the same chassis and shock mounting locations but the frame is slightly different in design. Can easy change them. As far as file format goes. I can read .dpp, .ai, .dwg, .dxf, .eps and .pdf The milling software actually reads .pdf to work from. Currently we are working in 2.5d so depth of cut needs to be specified on any work. Milling from 3d files is possible but requires a lot of set up. However we can work from Sketch-up files .skp also .obj and .3ds are possible but tricky. Hope that info helps. J |
