Lipo help plz ?

Hey

Im new to lipo. Not to sure on what most things meen.
What lipos are good cheapish and last long.
I have a lipo charger with build in balancer.
Also does it matter what esc ur using ?

A reasonable cheap Lipo is the Turnigy, flightmax and Zippy, all of which are available from eBay for between £20-£30.

Ultimately you'll need an ESC with a lvc ( low voltage cutoff ), but an external lvc could be used. This is to prevent your Lipo cells discharging to less than 3v which will degrade or ruin your Lipo.

If your ESC hasn't got an lvc, you could use the Lipo with it for a short duration, but you'd need to regularly check the voltage.
I've done this sporadically when I buy a new truck and just want to test everything out. I'll use the Lipo for about 5 mins and then disconnect it.
