Hello fellas,
Me and my mate have just been to Motor Arena for the first time.. We both live in East London,Southend Club Members, so Silverstone is quite a drive considering we have to brave the M25/M1 but thought it’d be would be worth it to get a days practice. We called Motor Arena first thing this morning to check it was ok to come and we were told no problem but we’d have to be finished by 6pm as there was a race meeting that evening. So we set off and arrived just over two hours later, around 1pm, but on checking in at reception we were told we could only have an hour as they had to change the track for the nights racing..! As you can imagine I was not a happy bunny;day off work and £50 on fuel plus 5 hour round trip for an hours track time.. If you haven’t fallen asleep reading this post yet you’d be thinking that this was my first and last time at Motor Arena but you’d be wrong.. Everybody I met who worked there was super nice and helpful and seeing they’d made a mistake they gave us as much time as they could which ended up being a good couple of hours of track time which made the trip well worth it.The facilities there are amazing and to race on tarmac indoors on a cold raining day in January is a dream.. I know you’ve all read this a hundred times already but Motor Arena really has taken our beloved sport/hobby to a new level and I take my hat off to the creators and investors for their vision which we all now need to support .. So, if you’ve been thinking of going but just not got round to it I beg you to sort out a trip there as you’ll be blown away by the facilities and the helpful staff. Mank Ps..My Tamiya Mini with a silvercan didn't quite beat Olly Jeffries track record.. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
