Default RIT dye for wheels

Given that my car is almost vintage im struggling to get wheels. however i am now inspired following a trawl of you tube - folk are dumping their wheels in hots pots of this stuff and wheels come out nice and new

wondering if anyone has experience of dying either duratrax or thunder tiger white wheels?

Yep - works a treat with Ansmann Buggy wheels and RPM dyeable ball cups.

Bring almost to the boil, then very low simmer. Only needs 1 to 2 teaspoons of dye in a small pan. Only takes one minute 30 to 2 minutes - keep lifting out to check. Experiment with scraps first

Does it make a difference if left in overnight after the initial "hit"?

Honestly, with RIT you only need a couple of minutes to get the depth of colour.... too long and the colour gets too deep....almost black
