Question TX battery

Hi all, have just ordered a 9.6v 2600mah NIMH transmitter battery from Vapextech for my 3VC.

my question is can I charge it in situ using my original Futaba tranny charger?

From what I have seen NIMH are the same system as original nicads, but just need to be sure!

cheers, John

I've had a Vapex pack in my 3VC for a few years now, and it lasts several race meetings between charges. My Futaba NiCd had ended up as bad as yours by the end, I needed to put it on charge during the actual meeting!

nice one, just what I was wanting to hear, thanks.
I am just about to do my first race for a while and was worried the bloody battery low beeper would put all the other drivers off! (mind you that could be a good thing hehe)
It literally lasts 10 minutes!
