welcome back too the world of rc.

Well as with most things it all depends on what you pay for, and personal preferences really, personally, i am running the savox 1256 tg servo, and i have had no issues with them always been good and my cobra has a reputation for eating servos, and i havent had a problem so far.
But then again before that i ran with ace 1015's and they where superb, ran 2 in my old rc8 for about 2 years with no issues at all, in fact i still have one of them as a spare.
but it does all depend on what you want and how much you have too spend, i am sure the lads will point you in the right direction.
anyways i hope you get what you need and too see you racing soon.
keep it with the wheels side down.

well my home club is slough (remote world model car club), but i am a bit of an addict and race all over the south, so at herts, clanfield, kent, also race at coventry and Frankley. pretty much every sunday you will find me at a race track somewhere. but i also do 1/10th indoor at taplow on a friday.
i would recommend the savox and i am sure the guys at morley would be only too happy too help. and i think that they are great value. and as i said, i have never really had a problem.
If you have any issues then just put a post up in the appropriate place and someone will get back too you.
and if you ever down this way, look me up and i am sure we can find you somewhere too race.

i would take the servo out, losen off all the screws that hold the steering together so it moves freely,do one screw up till it goes slightly tight, then back it off a bit to keep it loose,do the same with all the screws and then you know its not the steering binding, probably is the servo but if the steering is tight then it will burn a new one out

they wont be good enough, make sure steering is free and smooth without servo connected, any servo above 14kg of torque should be OK.
