Default Drilling axle shaft

Hi

The X6 sq takes 1.5mm drive pins. Has anyone tried drilling the axle shaft slightly to take 2mm drive pins as they come in a longer length or are they too hard to drill. Didnt want to start messing around until I got some opinions. Thanks

About 11mm as they will also sit better in the wheel

Well if you head over to: http://www.nortechracing.com/

The axle pins are back in stock there. The sizes are:

"Front" - 9.5mm - these fit 4wd front hexes
"Rear" - 11mm - these fit AE, Losi, Tamiya, JC rear wheels
"Cat SX" - 12.7mm - these fit Cat SX front and rear wheels and fit in AE and Losi wheels also.

I use the Cat SX pins in my rear wheels. They are a little too long for JC wheels but can be trimmed. They are also perfect for SC10 wheels to help stop them stripping.
