Default Front chassis plate

Do you guys know any European shops that FOR SURE have the reinforced front chassis plates in stock?

I just snapped mine, and I had the old plate, so I wouldn't want to be buying the same one again.

I dont know of a reinforced front plate, is there something interfering with yours causing it to break? If you could elaborate on what the crash(s) was like and where it broke, maybe theres a solution.
Ive broken a few things on my tc02+T but not that part.

Thanks for the replies, I'll check ebay in a minute and see if anyone has some 'real' pics about the piece where I can see that it's the new one.

Notme, Ansmann/TQ/Team C made the front plate beefier a couple of months ago without notice. So it's the same part number, but presumably there is some of the old stock left. I had one of the older pieces in my madrat kit, and they break easily.

Mendes, the updated piece also broke? Sounds like the front end needs some re engineering. I just read up on rctech, seems its a more common problem then I thought.

A post from today at rctech (tq thread), its an old trick we used to do back i the day with crc rims.
Might be a good idea do do with the rear t-plate too!

Guys, here is something to work with on the TU2008 front plate.

Boil a pot of water. Once its at its boiling point, turn off the heat. Place the parts in the pot of water. Leave them until the water has cooled off.

We had some team drivers test this during the weekend and report back that the plates were stronger, with no effects on handling.

We are always looking for ways to improve the product and this isnt the total solution, just a way to try and increase durability right now.

Hi there

There is a new Reinforced chassis plate , it was developed by TQracing in the USA

We over here in Holland (TeamC BeNeLux) have them in stock and i can as a hard driver and broke 3 of the old types and 2 main chassis that the new one is a lot better

Also i boiled the new part in water for 10 mins then let it cool till room temp in the water , then fitted it and it is now 3 races old

If you need parts mail me and i will see what we can do to help with TeamC parts , or Hop ups

Thanks Phil

The new plate caused me problems with the ally mount and brass weight. I had to improvise the parts together, because the screw holding the weight in place hit the extra plastic on it.
