Hi,

anyone use a mtr transponder?

how are they and compared to the amb version?

they are almost half the price which is what caught my eye...

simple answer is yes

I have a very early AMBrc PT and probably 4 MRT clones and one that's not, I have a lot of cars

if you have an AMB you can have it cloned so you can use the same PT number if all your cars

if you go for the other type you may have to program in your car number from 1 to 10 if there's a clash in PT numbers but this should be very rare

4 cell racing used to suffer voltage drop if power was applied when crossing the loop and cause the MRT & AMB's to drop laps as the loop didn't see it but 6 cell is OK

That happened in touring cars running 6 cell mod too, NiMH's used to drop quite a lot when used hard coming out of a slow corner. Haven't seen it happen with LiPo though.

this never happened with the mrt only the ambs like mark said ia bug booster was designed for the ambs the mrt has always had the tecnology in them the mrt also give out a stronger signal than the ambs this was done because the few guys who tested them my self included raced on tracks with the loop going over the race track and the ambs on ocasion would miss a lap.
