Default Heat Shrink

I need some heatshrink for my micro packs (2/3 AA cells) - I need the clear stuff which sets nice and rigid. I'm not sure what size I need but anyone know where I can get some? I bought some already which aint big enough

Jimmy, Do you mean 2/3AA or 2/3A? if you mean cells like the GP130AFHR or IB1400 then those are 2/3A (~16.8mm dia). I have just tried some standard Cs sleeve (37mm) and it is too narrow. I have some at 52mm and it is too wide. I think the standard size you need is 41mm.. I will have a look on Monday but it is not a very common size. If anyone else can help?

Neil

I've not been able to find any clear miself - could I trouble you for some white? I'll pay honest - I need enough to do three 2/3A packs of side-by-sides, just to keep them together !

Right, I tried 41mm and it was too tight. 52 is the next size in white which I have tried and it is ok.. maybe a little too big but it does work. I also found some 57mm clear which does shrink on the cells but is messy at the ends (needs to be folded over).

I have sent some in the post to the Team 17 address I found on your website, hope that is OK!? No charge.

Neil

Hi Jimmy,
just in case you still want some clear as well as that sent you by neil, try modelpower.co.uk I have used them for making up Nomadio 4.8 volt AA stick packs, they do all sorts of sizes and are very helpful too.
