Racer Magazine App?

Hi Chaps, Just wondering if any off the oople gang has tried the Racer Magazine App?

I like the idea of it as my LHS only does Rrci magazine and some of the WH Smith I have been to don't stock it

It's a shame more Smiths don't stock it but the app could be a good way forward for those who find it hard to get.

I got it, but I really dislike it. I know its easy then having to trek to WHSmiths but I don't think it is a replacement to the paper version. I dont like having to keep zooming in and out all the time, I thought that it would be ok but then it just got annoying.

yeah i've got the app, its a fairly slick job, but pointless on the iphone, its just too small to "flick through" properly. i imagine that it would be a lot better on the ipad.

never had a problem getting it from smiths, they always sell out quickly though.

I saw the app on an iPad today and it was superb.

Easy to flick through page by page but also easy to pull up a mini slider bar of the pages so you could go directly to any page in the magazine.

The Zoom tools are as easy as you'd expect from anything running apple OS.

So easy to use - I now need to find the money to buy the iPad.

Really nice idea from Racer / ADH - well done chaps

Cheers for the feedback, seems its a bit of a pain on the I phone but an I pad could be the way forward, for now I'll track it down at WH Smiths or maybe subscribe.

The App works extremely well on the iPad, but we have found it to be very popular with commuters who use their iPhone/iPod Touch on a daily basis.

We have also seen the digital option come into its own when readers are overseas. The online magazine can be purchased on the day of its UK release date anywhere where you can get a internet or mobile network.

We do appreciate the feedback though...

If you speak to the store manager, then there is no reason why they shouldn't be able to get hold of the magazine as WH Smiths usually stock all the ADH titles. If you want to let us have details of the store you visit, we can ask our distributor to look into it...
