We sold out of these a while ago but we just picked up the last stock from Kyosho.
![]() So if you have any Lazer ZX-5 you can upgrade to the FS (not FS2) for about £135.00 Its a big upgrade with plenty of parts, almost a full car in fact. It could even be worth getting for spares alone! You will need to order from a shop, the part number is LAW38 |

Neil, I'm not sure if they have changed the LAW38 since I built my FS with one all those moans ago but IIRC the conversion included;
chassis top decks motor mount & slipper bearing support most slipper assembly components (some from original car used) centre driveshafts the revised transmission cases / tower mounts (don't get them mixed up .. tower mounts are 1.25mm taller than original ZX5 ... worth remembering for those of us who use the alloy tower mounts) Body and wing I vaguely recall it including a set of 38mm rear shock bodies too but not going to sware to that. You WILL need to buy some UM519 rear uprights too .... car handles "interestingly" without these! That means that you can use it to convert an SP but not not fully convert an original car / RTR without buying separately the suspension arms, front and rear uprights, front and rear driveshafts and the hardware to go with these components. Don't want anybody to get confussed. Right then please answer the following question everybody; "Do you still have a ZX5-SP?" If the answer was yes then you really should consider the LAW38 as an essential for 2011!!! I really liked my ZX5-SP but the FS, well it's in a different league ... actually it's in a league above any other 4wd chassis out there at the moment IMHO! |

Can someone clarify please......I was thinking of buying an FS. FS2 price was a bit more than I wanted to spend. But another option might be an SP+ LAW38. But reading different threads suggests not getting the velvet shocks.
So would an SP + LAW38 give me an FS spec car? (Disregard cost) cheers Gary Last edited by kyoshogit; 25-11-2010 at 01:51 AM. Reason: Fix mistakes....ta Fabs |

First there's no ZX5-SP2
Second no it wouldn't even get you an FS spec car, let alone an FS2. |

As Fabs says it won't get you exactly an FS spec car ...
i'll edit my post to remove teh hinge pin holders as that was a mistake on my part sorry. You will get the specification that i have been running though! If you don't have a ZX5 at the moment go for the FS or FS2 kits, they are the cheapest way into the full car! Both are great cars, opinion will be devided as to which rear end is better as it is down to driving style. Basically the FS2 rotates more freely so suits some people better. I must say I like the locked in feel of the original FS back end and actually run mine even narrower (SP width hinge pin mounts). Hope that helps |

Hi Gary, Basically If you already have a ZX-5 original or SP or even a readyset the LAW38 will give you the all important forward Motor postion, It will make any of the previous cars much much better, If you do not have a ZX5 already there are some FS going pretty cheap new, and to be honest they are very very good, the FS2 has a few minor modifications which only the hardcore Kyosho Buffs will be concerend about. Im stil very happy with my FS. |
