Default So what do you do when... (B4.1)

...your fan is mounted on top of your speed controller and the body doesnt fit on the car

Remove the fan from on top of the esc then mount it sideways, so the side of the fan is attached to the chassis.

...you drive your car without the fan, like I do. Only need it in my 4wd.

Well, I've been racing indoor without the fan on my speedpassion esc and it haven't even been near any dangerous temps. But that is of course not an guarantee that it will work for you. Race for 5 min and see if the temp is ok. If not, mount the fan sideways as described.

I've never run a fan on the speedos in my B4 and that's been fine indoors and out running a 7.5.

You can mount the fan as per this pic.

Thanks All.

So the fan doesnt need to be butted up to the ESC?. It just creates an 'air flow' around the body?

So long as there's a bit of air movement over the heatsink all is well

Personally I don't run a fan in my B4 and don't have heat issues
