Default PBM Racing

Hi All,

I bought 2 packs of saddle Lipo's from PBM Racing via Ebay. Just got an Email from them telling me they had sold all that stock this weekend and had non left to send me after I bought them fair and square.

So you bought the batts and unfortunatly there was obviously an error on PBM's part who then emailed you to appologize and sent you a full refund straight away? Whats there to be warned of?

These sort of posts happen to often on here. Someone has a bad experience with a particular shop/manufacturer and comes straight on here to bitch about it rather than try and resolve it with the other party first. Gets on my tits.

Listing things you do not have is wrong, simple.

Its not right, but i can see how it could happen.

I just want you to be assured they are not some fly by night cowboy shop but one of the best in the country. Well established and respected.

I can see its annoying for you but it happens, he has a trackside shop aswell as an eBay one. If you knew him im convinced that you wouldnt publically flame him, hes probably one of the nicest guys ive had the pleasure to meet.

Whereas some sellers would of ordered more stock from the importer and made you wait a week to get your lipos, hes refunded you on a weekend before the start of a working week so you are able to order elsewhere.

Hes been nothing but perfect to me and i havent really spent the majority of my money with him. Only used him for convienience but he treats you like youre a long time customer.

Probably not the best place to be flaming one of the most popular guys on the circuit to be honest. Wont win you any friends.

Hope you get sorted soon anyway dude.

Unfortunately on Ebay this has happened to me many times when buying all kinds of items, sadly Ebay don't seem to clamp down on this at all as they are getting their advertising costs ££££. It is very annoying and i can understand where Sunbeam is coming from, its very unprofessional and simply shouldn't happen. If you don't have the stock to match your listing, then don't list, simples......

But be thankful that you received a refund, as in the past its taken me weeks to resolve and usually ended up with with a Paypal claim.

I cant see no mention of an apology received tho, Sunbeam only mentions he had a refund. I see in your signature PBM is mentioned, perhaps you have a tie to that shop or work there, can you explain better to him rather that assume what has/hasn't happened?

Dont work there pal, just trying to help promote my lhs as they do a great service to the hobby and need to be supported. I was reffering to the part that said he had recieved an email explaining that the stock had been sold and so was unable to send them out. Perhaps I should of said explanation rather than appology but same thing really.

Not having much luck myself on ebay. Bought three items in the last two weeks.
Got one of those keyring camera,s someone here posted a video of a race with one in their car. It was doa but seller sent me new one. Got to say the video image is fantastic.
Bought an oxford balaclava for my bike but turns out due to computoer error they were out of stock but they did apologise and give immediate refund.
Bought a new battery for my mobile. another doa but not worth the postage costs to send back for refund.

Ermmm, NO, im pretty sure an explanation of something is very different from an apology. Maybe Sunbeam can confirm, because at the very least he should have received one.

I can understand that some people love their lhs, and it may be painful to hear that their not perfect, but its run by a human being, not a computer, so inevitably mistakes are going to be made.

However i fully understand that shouting about it on a public forum may not be the best solution, but if something happened to you during an order, and it went wrong, im sure you would have thanked people for their pre-warnings.

PBM have always been very good to me, bought from them on ebay and trackside and he is a very nice helpful guy
Slating shops on here for a simple mistake such as this sucks
Its hard enough for lhs's as it is without this adverse kind of publicity. I should imagine he had the items listed prior to him attending a race event or someone walked in his shop, it happens
He is one of a dying breed that attends race events, give him a break

There's no need for an outburst like this on a public forum, it will not deter people from the shop (the intention) but rather focus all attention on the person slating the shop.

For a shop to operate via many channels such as eBay, web, telephone and a store it is very easy for such a mistake to happen and there's quite simply no need to come online ranting about it.

I did get an apology from them for their mistake, and they did offer to sort it out with other cells. But at the end of the day this is the second Ebay Lipo seller to do this to me in one week, and it's getting old !!

If you list something on Ebay, it should be put to one side for the Ebay sale only, not sold off at the track or shop counter. IT IS NOT FAIR !

I am very sorry if you guys can not see my point of view, maybe I'm getting too old for all this messing about?

Maybe somebody could tell me where I can actually find some BRCA legal high power saddles ( 4500+ 45C+ )in stock. Everywhere I've looked, they either want 90 odd quid or out of stock !

I think is ok to share you experience, but its impotant for you to know this shop is very very good so it is exception that you got a problem.
Not a beware all buyers this shop is bad etc.

I understand you want your batteries but the current situation in the UK is very bad at present shops stocks are generally low for many reasons not just the shops.

I can see how a shop could sell a qty of items over the counter without realising he should have kept for flea-bay.

It justs proves E-bay can be great for bargains etc but you are always likely to encounter more problems than if you bought direct through a shop or better over the counter.

for me E-bay has always been i hope this works out ok deal.
Just looking at PBM on E-bay they got 99.9% positive feedback so with over 2200 rating thats not bad to me.

I hope you get your batteries.

I don't see any evidence that PBM have suggested that you were wrong.

I do understand your frustration in not being able to get your Lipos and PBM did make a mistake in putting an item on ebay that wasn't in stock. However the way PBM have dealt with this error sounds very professional as you were notified of it straight away and given a full refund. What else could they have done?

If you want some good cheap Lipos, have you considered the Intellect ones? (5000c are BRCA legal). You may have to order them from Hong Kong but are worth the wait!

By what it appear, PBM forgot or failed to pull the listing off eBay after selling the item elsewhere. Oversight or just sloppy depends on the way you look at it... if it is a rare occurance, then it is an oversight.
