With regard to the x-rings. Do people simply use them for improved sealing of the shocks or are they used to make the shocks smoother?

I used these in the standard velvets over the ones they come with.. seem much smoother and no leaks either.. well TBH never had leaks with the originals...

The big bores come with them as standard, and again no leaks and very very smooooooothh!! lol!

Sound good to me! Not to say I've had a leakage yet but for little cost it's worth a go

Thinking about it if I use Green Slime, the slime should stay in the middle part of the seal and not get dissipated when used, but testing will be the judge of that

The X-rings dont need green slime. i had no problems with them all summer. they are smoother then the stock ones.
