Default Which SP speedo ?

Hi,

I'm just sorting out a list of some bits for a B4.1 Team that I'm ordering and I'm probably going to use a SP speedo and motor but not sure which turn yet, won't be lower than 6.5t. I've used the SP GT2.0 Pro in a TC with 13.5t. What would be the best one to use in the B4.1 would the GT2.0 LPF be ok or do I need the larger GT or the newer GT2.1 EX ?

I would like to use the LPF as they can be bought quite cheap now.

Thanks.

I use the LPF without a fan on my B4 and 8.5 SP motor. Its fine.
I would not recommend lower than a 7.5 motor in a 2wd, its more than enough.

S.A.W, i also use the SP speedo's and motors (V3's) The LPF would be sufficiant for 2WD. I use the GT but that was only because i wanted it to match the one in my 4WD ( incase it went wrong, i could swop between the 2 cars )
Motors, i use the 6.5 in my 4wd plenty quick enough for me. 2WD 7.5 or 8.5 dependent on track. Hope this helps

Ok thanks, I'm new to off road wasn't sure what turn I would need but looking around the net and 6.5 was the lowest I've seen with 2wd so I just put that in the first post

What turn motor would be a good starting point ? i've also been recommended 8.5 or 7.5.

Is the blue SP speedo the same as the blue on the B4.1 ? it's got to match and look good

Thanks.

Yeah I know, I meant is the Blue colour of the SP the same blue as the anodizing on the B4.1 car.

Are you planning on running outside a lot, or do you race inside in a hall or something?

If you race regularly inside the 8.5 would be more than enough!

if you use the GT2 pro then remember to turn the boost off with the 7.5!

The supercharger boost function (options 12-15 on the programmer). Good for giving an extra kick to stock motors but overheats and dumps Lipos when used with fast motors (although entertaining for a couple of minutes)

I've only used the 422 and 528 with 13.5, does 205MOD have the turbo etc disabled ?

Not sure what version mine is running (bought it 2nd hand), however the boost function can be turned off (giving a value "1" to item 12)

I have run down to a 5.5 on my LPF (admittedly on NiMh cells) and have a V3.0 6.5 as the standard fitment in my 2wd.
Super happy with both motor and speedo, can't go wrong with Speed Passion IMHO.

I've ran a 5.5 on the LPF on lipo for over a year now. no problems there

btw Roger, since changing power cap it hasn't unsoldered a plug!
