If the track is anything like it was last year, then you need to be thinking about what tyres to run. I don't know what would be good for the RC18, but the mini-pins seemed to be the tyre of choice last year for the cars able to run 1/10th sized wheels (so that'd be the 1/16th class this year, I think the yellows we're the best).
I'm sure others will gave you their 2 cents worth too ![]() |

I think I am right in saying that a standard Blaze is 1:18th scale, so the choice is down to which car you prefer to drive. In the 1:18th scale class, I have read that Losi Street Meat tyres are the ones everyone is running. You can pick them up from DMS who normally keep them in stock.
Hope this is of some help mate. ![]() |

Hi to clear up the matter of the Blaze I am sorry to say the Blaze cannot run in the 1/18th scale as it uses wheels and tyres that are to big, wheel diameter must not exceed 39mm which the Blaze ones do and I dont think there are adaptors to fit smaller wheels. The Blaze can run in the 1/16th scale but would be eaten by the Sharks (did you like the pun). Regards Ashley BRCA Micro Section PRO

I thought the standard Blaze could run under current 18th rules if you ran the kit wheels? I know most in 18th now will run the rc18 or similar anyway.

As Ash says the Standard Blaze wheels do not fit into the 1/18th class due to size.
If you can get smaller wheels on to the Blaze then you can race it in 1/18th class and this CANn be done but you need to order different driveshafts from the States and is a bit of an effort to be fair! It would be a disadvantage to run a Standard Blaze in the 1/16th class BUT saying that there were a couple at the 1st Micro National that looked fairly competitive, they are just not able to take the jumps as well in my opinion |

Oops, sorry for the duff info mate. Thanks to everyone else for clearing that up. ![]() For what it's worth, I would pick the Associated and run in the 18th class. |

You could always upgrade to the wider shark first, then get the lwb chassis later on with your blaze?? Just do it for fun to start with, to see if you enjoy it :-)
If your running a blaze in the 1/16th class, then just get some schumacher yellow rally blocks on blue foam inserts. You will need some 24mm touring car wheels to fit the blaze. Hope this helps!

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but if the stand blaze ran the same size wheels as the rc18, it would be able to compete in 1/18th, or could the wheels be slightly bigger, just I might be able to source some, or might be able to get some made up, think I just need the max diameter of the wheels allowed, which is probably somewhere in the rules but it's late and I can't be bothered to look right now
