Default Love yellows, hate greens

Schumacher green minispikes don't like acetone do they? I've removed yellows several times by soaking in acetone and they're still supple. Greens seem to harden and go grotty. Am I doing something wrong or is this just the way the green compound is? Thanks.

No, you're not doing anything wrong.

Shu greens go really 'wrong' in acetone. But you do get the wheels back.

True... thanks. I'm not liking the Schumacher hard foam inserts either, don't seem to fill up wheel and disintegrate. I heard Answer RC foams are good.

Personally I've never had a problem with Schu greens. They do go a funny colour though, but still feel the same lol

Mr 'O' Foams are really good too or the Schumacher's Tubby inserts are nice to.

As for acetone and funny things happening I think it depends on how long you leave them in there for. I have noticed that the greens go a bit slimey feeling, where as yellows just pop off.

Nope, after 24-48 hours in acetone mine went hard. Can anyone recommend Ballistic greens instead?

Will look at the tubby foams also, cheers.

if mine are bald and dead I'll cut the foam out before the acetone bath. If I want to keep the tyre I'll just pop them in there for a few days.

Recommend BB greens for what Kaszal?

People actually remove tyres then re-use them at a later date??

Of course... if a wheel is cracked or hex is stripped and the tyre's got lots of tread it's worth it... they're like £7 a pair!
