Default ESC | Speed Passion or Nosram or Somet Else!!! - Need help

Howdy all,

So I am trying to make a sensible purchase of a new ESC.

I have ordered aEZRUN COMBO B5 8.5T 4000kv Motor + 60A ES from hongkong or somewhere, this was pretty cheap and I wanted it for bashing. As i blew my last ESC bashing, and don't want to spend a lot on a ESC for bashing just racing.

So I don't really know which to choose, preferably I want the ESC to be long lasting and durable than the fastest available. I am looking at,

Nosram Pearl Evolution ISTC Spec ESC - £127.99

Speed Passion GT2.0 LPF Brushless ESC - £110.99

Or are combo's better value for money? Is this just overkill!

The thing is I am not a pro racer, just a noob with not much sense! It is a lot of money to spend but is it worth it in the long run???

over to you pro's, please help!

Thanks

tekin rs!! can link to pc and make it drivable to your skills and can also make it very fast with this by adding timing and turbo boost etc, and also dont have to buy new esc when u become a better and want to go faster, as updated softwhere is downloadable and can be installed on to the esc via pc link. has lot more settings than the likes of pearl

Speed Passion GT2.0 LPF. Very smooth and easy to set-up (doesn't need linking to a PC), so a great choice for any (new) driver. And it is cheap

Both the Nosram and the Speed Passion are popular choices. Thee Nosram is quite heavily discounted now due to a new model being released.

I have just bought a GT2 Pro 2nd hand (£77) and it is brilliant - really responsive yet simple to set up. It also has an overdrive funtion that gives some extra punch.

I changed from Nosram/LRP to Speed Passion for ease of set-up but more importantly smoothness. I would recomend Speed Passion to anybody especially a rookie driver.

The last thing in the world I would want, even as a seasoned racer of 25 years or so, is to have to take a laptop with me to the track to be able to adjust my speedo!!

With the Speed Passion you plug in the supplied programing card, switch on, adjust the simple settings, switch off and your done!
