Default Mardave help

Just wondered whether any of you fellow Mardave racers could help at all?

Thanks in advance

Not exactly what you asked for but 4 bicycle spokes and 2 electric joints. Slide the ends through the steering arm hole intead of the ball stud and likewise on the servo saver. There will still be a bit of play after you adjust them but the wheels will self center when driving. They dont pop off and were quite good. Worth a try.

hello a fellow daver :-) what kinda esc/motor combos do you run? are you still on the 4cell g2 or has your club come into the 21st centery, as seems are still a few around still hapy with that set up.
see what you are trying to do but cant you just put a front bumper on? i found this saved me the same probs and then also reduces the risks of bent king pins etc by a big amount, yes its more weight but think its needed untill onday we can magicly do a race without crashing and worst of all advoding the others.

Manual speedo's, 4 cell with a G2 motor.

Didn't make myself clear - this is for Banger racing - so avoiding others and not crashing isn't really an option.

I do run with a front bumper (actually classed as a servo protection plate) but with full contact racing once the bodyshells starts to take the damage and the front wings come off the wheels are more exposed and the rod ends more liable to being popped off.

Bent kingpins and snapped stub axles are not anything I can do to prevent really - but stopping the rod ends popping off would be a bonus.

Can't you just use a normal plastic rose joint and put a washer over the head of the bolt when you bolt it to the hub? The washer will prevent the joint coming off the ball.

Having said that I've never ever had a rose joint come out in a race, only normal ball joints tend to pop off.
