Default NEW BRCA Website - Have a look!!

I have just navigated the NEW BRCA website and I would like peoples opinion on this.

I personally don't really care what it looks like (although important) but how it functions and the information available to NEW people rather than to existing members

The site I visited was www.brca.biz

Your opinion is valuable!! - Be honest to be constructive

Seeing as the new site is nowhere near finished, I think it would be unfair to pass comment on how it looks or functions. But I can personaly say that it looks like it's heading in the right direction, and "should" be a good site.

Quotation from the actual site and the BRCA chairman

New Website Update

The site is ready except for a few little snags. When we switch to brca.org the old site will become brca. biz and will be just as accessible as before with links from this one. As the section officials get up to speed on the new one the content will gradually switch over. We will retain the old site as an archive which you can access from here.

It needs a lot of populating at the moment. Looking at the clubs list there are very few on there, and only two shops.

I have registered so will be good to get involved and see how easy it is to add info, shop details etc..

Also, as it has started with the 12th scene they have trialled all the procedures before opening the floodgates.

Good luck to them. It's great to see the BRCA becoming a resource to all users and racers. a massive improvement over the old and as more info is added will become a valuable site.

I see what they mean by the site is ready(mainframe wise), but without content or up to date information it actually isnt is it?. Without content what do you view?

Im sure once everybody has updated their relevant sections it will be great, it certainly looks like it has potential and will be an asset to Uk racing.

Seems odd that the clubs info hasn't been populated from the old site
More modern look and feel to it though.
Once the content is sorted it'll be better

The idea will be for one or two people from each section to populate their area with info and content.

The 1/12th circuit section is fairly comprehensive because most of the BRCA exec committee race in or are involved with that class, so we were kind of used as guinea pigs!

I spent a lot of time over the summer putting stuff in for 1/12th scale. I'm not done yet, but I don't have as much free time as I had over the summer so development is a bit slower...
