Hey guys, I just picked up a used BX, and I'm just getting started working on the setup. I have the original version, not the Factory. I have several questions.
What is the stock anti-squat setting with the little aluminum spacer? How much do the other spacers add, there are 2 sizes. It would seem that flipping the rear toe mount (pivot) would affect anti-squat too, but how much?? I've read some about the longer rear shock shafts, and taller rear tower?? Anyone have part numbers? I've seen the B4 CVD mod, is everyone running that mod, or are some doing OK without? How about gearing with the stock 84T spur? I'm running anywhere from a 9x1, 10x2, 11x2. I'm from the USA, and mainly race indoors on mid to high bite clay tracks with pretty big jumps. Thanks for any help! Jeff C. |

Hi Bike Racer,
For the anti-squat, more you got more it's better ( but it depend on the track ) Try with "a flat anti-squat 0° " and then try with 4° or 6°. Usually more anti-squat it's better for the jump. For the shock shaft, when you got good grip use "original" shaft and if slippery track ( and bumpy ) use the long shaft . for the CVDs...humm...if you can find a big difference between CVDs and Original dogbones...you're the man. Use the original. For the gearing, you can start with 84/17 with a 9x1 and one more teeth on pinion with a 10t and two teeth with a 11t. Like that you don't take risks. If you feel that it's not enough, good reaction but not enough speed go lower, for a 9t go 18 teeth...etc |
