Default AMB20 USB to Serial lead

Hi All, I've had to replace our clubs old laptop used for timing.
We still use an AMB20 system over the serial port.
I'm looking for a USB->Serial lead that will work with the AMB20 and the replacement laptop.
I've tried a couple but neither worked, they both used the "profilic" chip.
Does anyone know of a lead that will work ?

Thanks
Paul,
Frodsham MCC.

Look here.. http://www.rctiming.com/hardware.shtml There is one on this page that should work... we recently had this problem at our local club too. The guy that runs the computer is away at the moment so I cant ask him which one he got.
Hope this helps.

I understand the FTDI chip adapters retain the com designation, but do not know if this helps or which adapters contain which chip.
