what wire can i use to replace an aerial wire and where can i get some

The nice, flexible stuff is sold in modelshops - bear in mind it needs to be the correct length depending on the frequency of your radio.

Otherwise, you should be able to find a suitable, inexpensive wire in Maplins.

i have some wire that would be suitable, it has 9 different coloured wires in one flat cable, you just seperate them and you have spares, looks a bit like the image attached, if you want me to send you some pm me your address and what lenth you require and i'll post you some out with enough for 8 spare ones
