Gray

Bring your dad as well and he can make the tea and refreshments

Just bring some energy and brute force.

Has the ideas of having track maintenance Sunday Mornings and then racing in the afternoon not been talked about by the commitee ?

I can not make Saturdays due to my travelling distances plus this is true to many other people.

This then means you are relying on the same old faces who will soon or if not already get pissed off with doing all the work and then give up helping.

I agree, i can't travel down every sunday so doing saturday work days is even less likely. Is sunday pre-race work not an option? At least you are going to get a number of people.

That is not an option for me.

I certainly would not want to race after spending a couple of hours digging etc.

You could always stay on after the meeting?

I think you will kill numnbers coming to race if there is track maint first. Tricky one, but Matts idea is better i think

Fair point Matt, its just not many people can do saturdays. I don't think many people would stay on after racing to do it either.
I guess it depends on how many people the committee need, to complete the desired works, if there is enough people on saturdays thats fine. But i guess they will feel that no-one else is giving up their time, and may stop.

hmmmm ...its just my opinion but ..i persanally would not get peed of with doing track stuff ....after all ...ill be doing the work for own benefit and if others benefit from it then all good , and i understand that ppl have things to do on sat ....or travelling problems .i can understand that and have no problem with it

on that note ..are there any rules on using home made stuff?

Afraid I can't make it - I'm in edinburgh for the next couple of weeks. After that, I should hopefully (hopefully!) start to be getting a bit more free for track maintenance.
