Default Who was the youngest ever F1?

Just got me thinking, its probably Cragg but just wondered if it was anyone else and how old they were when they made it to F1

Wasnt Craig D, it was Jon Leonard. 10, and probably was the youngest to finish 3rd at the euros. Oldest well ive forgotten his name but was in team kyosho for a couple of years in the A team in the late 90s and was at least in his late 40s

Nope not Craggy - sorry but was Jon Leonard. He made the top ten and qualified for the worlds in Japan at the age of twelve (I think) so was at least 9 or ten when he made F1. Heck he won Radio race car at the age of 9 and was frustrating that a 9 year old was kicking my butt in the Welsh league.

He may have been a cock but was rather gifted with a buggy. Not as good as Jon Tucker but never the less gifted. He should have stuck with racing instead of doing stupid things.

Whats he done? I looked on Facebook and found his page, seems he's into boxing, perhaps that was so he could pick up the soap safely.

Marc Neale and James Pearson were very talented Juniors back in 89/90 ish, but still not sure if they were F1 as young as Jon Leonard.

Jon wasnt that young when he got his F1, but he was small! He's not living with the queen no more either instone and didn't ever seem to be a cock. Just young.
Surely the youngest has to be craggy.

If you fancy a bit of white collar boxing, give him a shout

Nope, it is Jon Leonard. I was there the day he made his first A Final, as referee with Terry Wright. We both had a word with him and his wonderful Dad to make sure he was settled in and not going to miss his first turn on the big stage through nerves. He went well, and his Dad was very grateful to us afterwards. The Leonards were a really nice family, who always came to the meetings together, and always had time for everyone.

Jon was an outrageous natural talent, but once he hit his teens we didn't see that much of him any more - shame. Welshy40 and I stand shoulder to shoulder on this one - it was Jon!
